Awe-some Moms by @aweinspired_
Moms. After babies, puppies, bento lunch rice balls with anime character faces, and chipmunk YouTube videos, what's cuter than a #TBT photo of you and your mom? Nothing.
With Mother's Day Contests exploding all over social media, it's a wonder that I don't have an arsenal of Mommy and Me pics in waiting. Cause everyone loves a good ol' bathtub pic with naked children. Not awkward at all.
But alas, I only have a half dozen or so pics of my Mom. Well, a half dozen pics that my mom would consent to me sharing. Like I've mentioned in past blog posts, FB is a haven for the social-media-age-impaired. (Sorry Mom.)
AWE: Alive We're Empowered is a "fine jewelry company that honors and celebrates the triumphs of individuals". Someone got the CSR memo. AWE's major design is a visual representation of strength and surviving.

To spread the word of their inspiring message, AWE is hosting a Mother's Day Photo Contest on Instagram. Submit a photo of your Mom and enter for a chance to win an AWE diamond necklace. The winner will be chosen randomly at the end of allotted time of contest. Easy. Here's my step-by-step.
- Discovered the contest with a quick Instagram search #giveaways
- Read over the directions

Sniff, sniff. I think I'm getting a little emotional. Damn you, AWE! Well, if I do win, I know that necklace is going straight to Mommy.
Summary: The ease of entering and the nostalgia factor make this a fun and yet quick contest. I only wish it were shareable through more networks. I personally like the fact that the contest's winner is randomly chosen. I don't think it would be tactful to pit awesome-mom vs. awesome-mom in a guilt-ridden/fake-self-deprication/verbal gladiator-pit. I get that enough during Thanksgiving.

- Posted on Instagram with proper hashtags, tags and blip about why my Mom rocks.
